Round Pens

 

  
             
   

Your round pen can be made from essentially any panel that we carry and your round pen gate can either be a gate panel or bow gate. However, we recommend that you match your round pen to your intended use. By their nature, round pens can take a lot of abuse over the years and a lighter duty round pen simply will not stand up to the rigors of daily use in a colt starting environment. We also recommend the use of bow gates with your round pen. They provide a wider access than most gate panels and are designed to take the pounding of horses routinely passing through.

 

Formula to figure the number of panels needed:

 

(Round Pen Diameter x 3.1416) / panel length = number of panels
